This is an etching that I did based on pages from the book Plantas Medicinales by Dr. Vander. His book did not include Ginger or Ginkgo Biloba, as they were not available in Spain in the 1940's when the book was published. I grew these two medicinal plants in my exhibition, so I wanted to create a page-insert update of sorts for the Dr. Vander book. I made the etching with the help of Lauren Aliende at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

I made this etching based on pages and illustrations from the book Plantas Medicinales by Dr. Vander. His book was published in the 1940's, during Franco's reign, and it does not include Ginger or Ginkgo Biloba - two medicinal plants that I grew in my exhibition. This is a page-insert update for the Dr. Vander book, made with the gracious assistance of Lauren Aliende at la Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
