Are you a body or do you have a body?! is a collage made with delicately cut skin-coloured surgical tape on white and black paper. It represents two identical "Universal" weight-lifting machines, although the transparency of the tape and the different background colours enable slight variations. The choice between "being" or "having" a body is intended to identify perceived divisions of mind and body in the viewer.
